Well as a latino who WAS born in America and DOES speak english (those exist?) I think its a happy day in Houston. Especially after walton and johnson, whom I used to listen to loyally every morning, spent the last 4 months before bush won promoting their repupulican agenda EVERY SECOND OF THE SHOW, and the next 10 days after he won gloating about it and rubbing it in the face of every kerry voter EVERY SECOND OF THE SHOW (probably causing a 40% dip in their ratings since houston was about a 40/60 split in the presidential vote). The stations format is not aiming at mexican wetbacks (the illegals you speak of), its aimed at the roughly 18-27 year old english speaking american born latinos who go to the clubs that play this music (my friend is djing at the station) which is mostly reggaeton (puerto-rican dancehall/rap) spanish hip-hop and spanish mainstream. The illegals you speak of (standing under the 59 and westpark overpass waiting to take your high-paying tech jobs away from you) don't listen to this kind of music. They prefer ranchera or conjunto or tejano. Anyway the stations call sign is spoken in english "my music, mecca 101, latino and proud!"

I can c it happnin. Were gettin real close 2 a live downtown. Couple more years. They've started work on stallones, bottom floor of commerce lofts. That gonna be an iteresting mix. Tha ghetto store and hobos right across tha street. Can't wait 2 c that. I barely noticed the sidewalk accessible restaurant bottom floor of magnolia hotel. Pretty nice. Once stowers is in place this is gonna b really somthin. Finally at least somewhat it'll be a downtown not considered a "ghost town" or "dead" by outsiders. Can't wait 2 c what shamrocks retail is gonna b. But back 2 the stallones area. I WANT MY F----N FOOTLOCKER BACK! And my woolworths and walgreens.

Because if the rumored defunct, oft-given up on, thought 2 be canned, shelved, canceled, SHAMROCK TOWER is now being built, then the same goes 4 our 4ever down but never out astros. That's right yall, THE SHAMROCK TOWER IS NOW UNDERWAY! This is going 2 be good. Oh man what a miracle. I can only imagine how this is gonna change the main street district. But I digress. If you want, see 4 yourself. The rent-a-fence is now surrounding tha perimeter. WOW!

Yeah, I won't let my "hatred for bush" blind me to the fact that he stole the election with the help of his governor brother, lied to us about why we were going to war with iraq so him and his cronies could (and ARE, in case you're retarded) pad their pockets, is a complete doofus in charge of the most powerful country in the world embarrassing us to world leaders to no end (freedom fries, freedom toast), is constantly attacking kerrys war record when he himself was "in" the air national guard, which everyone knows is like being a security guard and calling yourself a police officer, and has got the country headed for another "great depression". Oh wait? Aren't these the reasons themselves that CAUSE people to "hate" bush? I swear these "Bush is awesome!" people sound like f----n broken records. "You hate bush! You hate bush! You hate bush! You hate bush! You hate bush! Wtf???? How is that even a counterpoint? This isn't even about the candidates anymore. Its turned into some little elementary playground battle. So at the bottom floor there's a sign facing mm park that says somethin about a collection of shops coming soon. I don't know of the age or current status of that statement but I think that's good retail spot cuz A: mm park foot traffic is tremendous right there esp. on game days, and B: even not on gamedays home plate bar and b.u.s. still have customers due to the fanbase they've built up thus offering sort of another little beginning of an "area" to hang out and "barhop" on foot downtown. Every time I saw yalls posts on e.s.p.n. bar I always thought that would be a good spot. And even better spot for residential above the retail. I mean next door to mm park, some lofts could go for a pretty high price.
