  1. I am located about 1/8 mile from the Buffalo Bayou and the McKee Street Bridge. I am Down the street from The last Concert and about 1/2 mile up the street from Irma's. I am a stones throw from the Dakota Lofts. I have a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse with another 2,000 sq. ft climate controlled space on Hardy Street. I also have the property across the streeton McKee leased to a Paint and Body shop. I reserved the point of that property for a time such as this. I will put a covered pavilion at the McKee / Hardy point. This is where I will have the Pumpkin Patch , Garden fresh Produce, Iced bottled waters , drinks & Fragant Evergreen Garland, Wreaths, Lighting & Trees this fall. I will also offer space for other vendors depending on the permits required. I plan to improve the appearence of the point with landscaping and lighting this winter and hopefully open for business this Spring. I have 3 commercial vendors onboard at this time. I will cater to Creative Art vendors and Non Profit Organization Fund Raiser Events . The McKee/ Hardy point will be reserved for Fund Raiser Events and one commercial concession food and drink vendor pending permits. The Red Hat Society is onboard as one of our Fund Raiser events in the Spring. Battle Cry Ministries and Discover the Center are Fund Raiser events scheduled for the Spring. It is too early to announce the commercial vendors due to permits, permits and more permits.
  2. Permits, Permits, Permits, I have spent the past three days finding out how difficult it is to open a Street Market on my own property. I already have an existing active business up and running at that location. I never knew how many hoops I would have to jump through to get permits for new vendors. I plan to be open this Fall for a Holiday Market. Due to all the permits required , It may be Spring before it is up and running in full force. I have a web site under construction with a cover page with general information. www.mckeestreetmarket.com I appreciate your suggestion and information that could help speed up the process. LOL Thanks, Pat Quote: "Four short words sum up what has lifted most successful individuals above the crowd: a little bit more. They did all that was expected of them and a little bit more." A. 3. I am sorry for posting the last post on this site promoting my business. I will leave the group and sign in again as a new memberi n a few days. I was excited when I found this site and read the first post at the Market Square Market. Then I posted my stuff. Later I began to read everyones postings and realized what iI had done. What is Discouraged: Blatant commercial or promotional postings. later
  4. I am new to this site and group, but I am not new to the Ciiy of Houston or the warehouse district. I have a warehouse at the corner of Nance, Hardy and Mckee Street. We opened a Equipment Rental Business at that location in the 70's. I Retired the business in 2001 due to adversity caused by the Allison Floods and the nature of the beast. It is time to return to city and renew and revieve my business. The McKee Street Market Coming This Fall ! The McKee Street Market. This Fall we will offer a Street Market in the Arts / Warehouse District . ... Email : info@mckeestreetmarket.com. ...mckeestreetmarket.com/ www.mckeestreetmarket.com This site is under construction.
