  1. I don't really believe they were Bi I do think they acted Bi because they had to. because that is how they understood that life should be. They believed they should marry and have kids. After all that is what there father did and maybe that is what they wanted. The fact is that in this story line they fell in love with each other and for them to be together was a compromise from what other would think of there life choice. I am gay. I don't think I have to live with a partner but I do. If I wanted to I could be asexual the rest of my life, and if I feel in love with a woman I could marry her, lover and have kid. The fact is I would not commit adultery to satisfy and any unfulfilled need. I am In a committed relationship I consider myself conservative, liberal, and all that jazz at the same time. Yes I am a flip flopper. I make decisions based on the best information available. Heck, I forget my point, but this is a great move no matter what naysayers may say. It is not about the politics. It is not about homophobia. It is about good acting, good story lines, and great directing.
  2. I understand your point but these two people lived in an other time when they thought they had to live as strait men. They figured the only way they could be with each other was if they committed adultery. Rather then come out and be truth full to themselves and those around them family friends coworkers. TJones Brokeback Mountain is in the same state were gay men were still being killed for being gay well into the 1990's
  3. What about American Beauty that is a story about a man who fantasied about a teenage girl. I do remember that won quite a few rewards. I have to take your sarcasm with a grain or salt Coog. My point is that controversy sometimes makes for good story lines that appeal to audiences, and add to that good acting, directing and great distribution. Then you will hear the words "And the winner is.... The Oscar goes to...."
  4. I go to UHD. About a year ago I had a conversation with one of the administrators for the school. It escapes me what his title was, but anyhow, he said that they are heavily recruiting freshmen students from local high schools. They want to become a more traditional four year University with dorms and all that "jazz." His word not mine. UHD started as a trade school, for the purposes of providing companies in the CBD a reasonably close alternative for continuing education for their employees.

  6. You Know me too! I am not holding my breath anymore! I have been very positive so far, but now if this going to happen they just need to come out with it and say it to the public with bigg letters: "THESE ARE THE STORES WE WILL HAVE AT THIS LOCATION. WE ARE STARTING CONSTRUCTION ON THIS DAY. WE WILL BE FINISHED ON THIS DAY." So far reading this thread and the news papers has been as revealing as watching and episode of LOST or 24.

  8. Welcome To Page 17 I don't care at this time what stores will get put into the new mall but I only care that it becomes a reality.
  9. Even if Metro completed its plan for mobility today. One would still need you car for somethings. This city is too spread out and developers find it difficult to think urban when it comes to new developments.
  10. So are you afraid of strong women? or just Hillary....
  11. What do you think of these locations on the nothside of Downtown:
  12. XMarks the spot for my suggestion of locations East end/ east side of downtown locations: West part of downtown: south east part of downtown near the old Chinatown and near Toyota center: Western part of Galleria off Westheimer Rd: Galleria near Richmond Ave: Greenway plaza:
  13. they should built it near the or in the Galleria area just inside the 610 loop or Greenway Plaza
  14. Admitting a wrong doing does not make it right. If a child admits to his parents that he disobeyed them even after he was lectured not to do something he would most likely still be punished

  17. I just watched the movie earlier tonight. I have one word. Brilliant!
  18. I totally agree but when "Y Tu Mama Tambien" was released it was only released in one theater screens here in Houston at the River Oaks. As soon it took off it was released in more theater screens across the nation and Houston. That movie had three things going against it it was entirely in Spanish, it had a gay seen, and full-frontal male nudity
