There is a Beck's Prime in the Tunnels from what I understand it does very well. Plus Beck's Prime is slow on expansion. Recently they closed the one at the Galleria b/c of rent being too high. A Fat Burger would be cool!

This is a little off topic but does anyone know if the building at the corner of Main and Lamar going to be restored. Apparently the beautiful facade is under the modern facade. It was covered in the late 70's and is ugly in my opinion. Anyhow this building is so close to this project I would think that it is in the works for preservation. It was originally called Rouse Drug Store Co. Does anyone know anything?

This store is still standing and apparently the beautiful facade is preserved under a covering that was added in the late 70's to look modern. It is off Main St and Lamar St next to the old Sakowitz Flagship store on Main and Dallas. What can we do to have the current owner clear the ugly modern facade, and uncover the ornate facade that stands under it? There is a display currently in the windows of the parking garage that was once Sakowitz. I know that the Wolfe Co. is redeveloping the Sakowitz building for retail. It would be cool if the old facade is revealed on the building next door to it. Once home to Main Food Mart and Rouse Drugs. Does any one know if a redevelopment or renovation of this property in the works? It would be great for the buildings fa

I only suggested Hooter earlier in this thread b/c San Diego has one near there downtown mall and in the Gas Lamp District. It seems to bring in good business. However it does suck when it comes to the food and service. But most business types go for that soft porn scene at lunchtime I am talking about straight business men Ya

I am telling y'all I am ready to go shopping there I can't wait. I could go for a good steak at Outback, and not have to drive all the way to the southwest corner of the 610.

I defiantly agree open ground parking lots are and eyesore for the inner-city, but if a car dealerships opened up downtown with a parking structure with ground level pedestrian access and large widow displays to allow the public to view their showroom. I bet you would think it was cool and urban. The fact of the matter is that when developers build in the inner city they need to rethink how they build, and not just build designs meant for the suburbs. I don

What market on the northeast side? Are you talking about the Mercado del Sol that closed soon after it oppened that was giered to the hispanic market and the building it was in is now redeveloped lofts

Well, I am new to this (forum), and I just wanted to know. Have any of you called? What about the residences are they going to be condos or apartments? What is the price point for them? Did someone say there will be a hotel too? What about the question about density of the current downtown residential community, will this be an issue that will hold up this project?
