  1. Fence is going up - working all hours of day and night - seems to be close to opening. 2 different rumors from neighbors nextdoor - one said all night club - other wine bar. Neither sure - said both rumors came from workers.

    Anyone know anything TABC license?

  2. Crazy thing this WOUOD be allowed in chi but it would cost the developers 9x more $$ - and the other thing people wouldn't talk about it because there's no way someone would buy up the equivalent piece of real estate - maybe river north? Just doesn't make sense ; Houston CBD can disappoint today because it is not yet there where it's not HAIFers complaining but rather a bad business decision to cheap out or build a prison prototype.

Houston. I'm gonna give you a pep talk , we are in no way inferior, in fact we are a world class city in every way! Proud HAIFer's we need time and booze , for our CBD to evolve into a space where this type of let down is not hated on but would never happen. Things are pointing in the right direction

Keep calm and look to Monarch for guidance!!!

  3. Montrose "the closest you can get to Our Downtown to avoid established neighborhoods and busy streets is 610 @ 288."

My friend I work at an area of town closer than you described that is void of life and is full of roaming packs of dogs, trucks, diesel shops, landfills, superfund sites and Mexican beer joints that scare Mexicans I work with.

My friend welcome to McCarty Drive " Spoken like Jurassic Park"

Land is available and cheap - I'm talking about past moontower where not many here is familiar with.

On top of one of the active or non-active landfills the skyline view is so ridiculously perfect. If you have lost your sense of smell you might just make a home for yourself.

    Cheers-

  4. Watching and participating in this forum over the course of a couple years, it's funny because the same people seem to have the same points in many different forums.

I want to see a 4 Team Cage Match.

TEAM 1 - The Homeless Homies - led by Drifter McNally caked in sewer residue the smell is their biggest weapon. They rounded up a fierce crew of transients and ask for change and harrass people around the ring.

TEAM 2 - Ric Campo and his development team. They have joined forces with the folks that are behind the Houston Center that can't seem to get going. They are the underdog in this fight.

TEAM 3 - The HAIF Ground floor retail champions. They want and need GFR in every building in Houston and won't stop until it's done. They are a passionate group.

TEAM 4 - The homeless haters, they are scared for their lives anytime someone talks to them or asks them for money.

  5. Monarch it's like you traveled the world luxuriously over the years, but there was no where for you here to feel at home back in HTX. Many have praised your comments and elequant writing style, I for one hope you are living in a storefront in the Rover Oaks District. Next to Hermes, with all black monogrammed leather walls , looking like a upscale storefront would be shoppers are greatest by an English bellman in a 5 piece suit who promptly tells them this is a private residence of Monarch who is traveling in Dubai. Please scurry on.....

    Snap River*** too many drinks
