Only 1 of the top 6 towers u/c is office.. The rest are residential. Quite an interesting turn of the market in Houston it would seem. Of course many of the taller office towers are not too far off, but then again so are other new tall residentials. Has there ever been a time when Houston has had this much residential high rise activity?
Are any of these condos for sale or are they all apartments?

They had a scavenger hunt that just finished last night and winners get a secret party, so makes me wonder if it will be held at the new brewery...
I don't think the brewery is quite finished yet. I think they are hoping to move in sometime this fall.

Yeah, hours would be cool.
I didn't see any at WFs website http://www.wellsfargoplaza.com/Home.axis
And found this:
Regular building business hours are 7:00am to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday. Property Management Office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The 60th floor Sky Lobby is open for public viewing during regular business hours. The Building and Property Management Office are closed on the following holidays:
Yes, I saw that on the Chase website about their hours. But, I was hoping someone would reply, "Just walk on in and go to the 60th floor, and you can walk right in....."

Wells Fargo Plaza has one on 34/35 and 54/55 (I think). If you take the elevators in the tunnel you will end up on the 34/54 floor. If you take the elevators on the street it will take you to the 35/55 floor.
Are any of these observation decks open on Sunday? Does anyone know?

This building is the old Federal Reserve building that will be renovated for use by the Diocese. From what I understand, the basement (maybe it's the ground floor, but I was told basement) where the money used to be housed, will be for the Diocesan archives.

I second Chilosos - very good breakfast tacos. Also, you could try the places a little South of the Heights. El Rey on Washington and Shepherd has a good breakfast menu and some of the best coffee in the city, in my opinion. Also, I've never been, but my friends like the breakfast at Cyclone Anaya's on Shepherd. They tell me that the omlettes are big enough to share.

i went to lanier for 6th and 7th grade (vanguard) in the early 80s.
i remember a girl getting run over one day by a guy who lost control of his car in the bus driveway. i was on the bus, he drove up the driveway, ran over a girl and his car got lodged between the bus i was on and the building - with the little girl still under the car.
and i remember Mr. Baugh, in his smug, holier-than-thou way, telling me he hated football and football players because the only purpose of football was for the players to hurt each other... chillout, man, i was 12 years old... get back in your volvo...
purple izods and purple polos were a big deal...
Tak,
I was there during that time, as well. I remember that incident now that I read your post. I attended 7th and 8th Vanguard from Fall 82-Spring 84.
Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy my time there. Not one of the popular kids. Long bus ride from the Heights. Glad those days are behind me.

Thank you for the clarification. That makes more sense.
