Boris Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 21-Unit Townhouse Project Gets Under Way By Amy Wolff Sorter Savannah Landing THE WOODLANDS, TX-A local developer has broken ground on its third townhouse development, the 21-unit Savannah Landing. The project, ticketed to cost $4.2 million to $6 million, will deliver in first quarter 2007. A spokeswoman for Woodlands Development Co. tells GlobeSt.com that Carmel Builders bought the 1.6-acre tract along Low Country Lane in Southern Coast about a year ago. She tells GlobeSt.com that 10 of the 21 three-story townhouses were sold prior to last week's groundbreaking. The units, averaging 2,579 sf, range from $439,000 to $449,990. Southern Coast is an 18-acre development on the banks of Lake Woodlands. It is part of the 260-acre East Shore, which is within walking distance of the Woodlands Town Center. Carmel Builders' parent company, McGuyer Homebuilders Inc. of Houston, is the general contractor for Savannah Landing. The architect is Pappageorge/Haymes Ltd. of Chicago.
