IntheKnowHouston
I do not know if 19300 Katy Fwy is part of a planned retail center or mixed-use development or not. A few older marketing materials for properties nearby indicate a planned mixed-use. Regardless, a Shake Shack restaurant is going up here. It's slated to open in 2023. Community Impact reported the news in November, following the filing with the Texas Department of License and Regulation. The filing lists this project in Katy, but it's actually in Houston, not too far from the Energy Corridor. There wasn't an address provided in the filing or in the Community Impact article. I am not that familiar with this part of west Houston, so I don't the neighborhood or area this is located. https://communityimpact.com/houston/katy/development/2021/11/22/map-check-out-the-5-latest-commercial-projects-filed-in-katy-including-new-shake-shack/
IntheKnowHouston
A map from a 2020 marketing brochure for retail center Forresta Village (1922 Greenhouse). The site where Shake Shack will be built is shown on the map in green as a future mixed-use development. https://www.vistahouston.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Forresta-Village-Vista-Marketing-Flyer.pdf 2
asubrt
Even though the address is technically Houston, this is definitely still the Katy area. Basically once you get west of Highway 6 (or certainly west of Barker Cypress) it's Katy.

I have also seen HPD stopping people out there.

Either way, cool to have a Shake Shack coming.

IntheKnowHouston
If Forresta Village is a master-planned development or multi-phased mixed use as highlighted in previous marketing materials, then maybe Shake Shack is part of the Forresta Village development. According to the maps, the site where Shake Shack will be built is part of Forresta Village. Also construction materials list this Shake Shack location as part of Forresta Village. Perhaps someone with more insight on this property can offer some clarification.
IntheKnowHouston
I have not been on the west of town since early 2022. Has there been any construction at 19300 Katy Freeway? It's the site of the forthcoming Shake Shack restaurant, which may be part of the Forresta Village mixed-use development. Last week, Shake Shack posted a hiring post for this location. Maybe this will open in 2023? Here is the job post for a restaurant manager (restaurant management) for a Houston Shake Shack outpost at 19300 Katy Fwy: https://shakeshack.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/External/job/Katy-Freeway-19300-Katy-Fwy-Houston-TX-77084/Restaurant-Manager-Weekly-Pay_JR2021

The rendering was included in recent marketing materials for the property. From the marketing materials, this Shake Shake outpost is a "new prototype building featuring a double lane drive-thru." It's supposedly "Shake Shack's newest store concept developed in response to high consumer demand."
