burt
https://generalacademic.com/ambushed-and-robbed-on-houstons-buffalo-bayou-bike-trail/ Keep your eyes and ears open near this spot...seems to be happening more frequently. Safe riding!
MexAmerican_Moose
damn, that location always looked like a good ambush spot...might need to ride strapped now
hindesky
I've ridden both section of this years ago, west of Jensen and east of Jensen. The part east of Jensen really scared me because it was so spooky and had obvious homeless encampments, never rode it again. The portion west of Jensen just dead ends is worthless to ride, I think this where they were jumped.
samagon
I did east of Jensen once. maybe as more focus comes into the east side of town it will get safer.
JBTX
I ride and run East of Jensen fairly often (from Jensen to Tony Marron park) without issue ever. Only one encampment that I've ever seen and it's pretty deep in the "woods." The dead-end on the west side, where this happened, is quite different though... j_cuevas713
Man after hearing this I'm happy the same didn't happen to me. I rode that way a few months back just out of curiosity because I saw trail was extending. This was in the middle of the day but I did get a feeling something wasn't right. So I got out of that area asap.
JBTX
Speaking of...the fence on the west side is now open. Looks like the new route through clayton homes to the downtown trailheads is open.
