Grandy's Restaurant At 9205 South Main St.

So what did the restaurant currently known as Baytown Seafood at 9205 S Main St. originally start as? The Shipleys next door was a Mc Donalds and there is a Burger King right down the road so I doubt it was either. Any ideas?

Must have been Gaido's.  It was right across the street from Playland Park, which was at 9200 S Main.

Wrong side of the street.  Gaido's was on the west side of Main, Baytown Seafood is on the east.  And as I recall, Gaido's was quite a bit larger than that.  The building was formerly/originally(?) a Grandy's.

My mistake.  I was going by this old ad below for Playland Park.  I know for sure it was on the west side of Main, so that's why I thought the 9205 address was on the east side.  I guess the ad address is wrong. I should have looked at where that address is now.

MarinersGuide, which has helped in ID'ing old restaurants from the 1990s, has stated that it was a Grandy's restaurant. Do a Google image search for Grandy's, building shape checks out.

It was Grandy's.  Ate there many times.  Good chicken and rolls.
