where are the minorities?

Oh what the heck, I'll take the bait. Musicman, I'm sure they were all on the campus of Texas Southern gathered around a a giant boom box hanging on Rush Limbaugh's every word. I know that's where I was.

I had no idea the Waterway Festival was as large as it appears to be. Dare I say it could rival The Bayou City Arts Festival within 10 years? I will have to give it a go next year.

since none of the pictures are close ups, i'm not sure you can tell the race of anyone in the photos. well, except for najat. she is from kuwait. i was with a girl from brazil another woman of indian decent.. i ran in to my friend miguel from the spanish chamber of commerce.

it seems your post, musicman, was purely for the sake of saying "the woodlands is all white people". although anecdotal, my circle of friends would counter your argument.

it is about half the size of the bayou city arts festival. however, many of the same artists are at the waterway festival.

one positive thing i noticed this year, more interesting people. the crowd is getting more colorful and artsy. the first year it was only suburban families. this year, year four, there were performance artists, belly dancers, better variety of music, gay families, guys in kilts, people with pets, etc. it is getter better each year. the setting is great, we just need more interesting people to come out (no offense to the regular folks).
