Zapata
Hello Team:Just a quick question:What's the tallest building above sea level in Houston..??I'm not sure if it will be the Williams Tower over the Chase Tower in Downtown because the Galleria area is higher (ASL) than Downtown. I am correct...??? Thanks.

dgreco
Wells Fargo is a nicer looking building I think, it also appears taller because of its look I think. Also, Chase is the 9th tallest in the country and Wells Fargo is the 11th.. they will both move down a spot once the NYTimes building is built.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_talle...e_United_States

dgreco
Bank of America Plaza, Dallas: 920' @ 423' elevation = 1346'. ProHouston
Bank of America Plaza, Dallas: 920' @ 423' elevation = 1346'. The tallest in Texas. Ok, if we're gonna get technical, then the Tower of the Americas in SA would be the tallest at 1400'. When you add in the tower's 750' height and the elevation of SA at 650, you get a total height of 1400'. Tower of the Americas - 10th tallest in TX http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_talle...ldings_in_Texas San Antonio elevation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Antonio http://www.informationsanantonio.com/singl...s/factsmaps.htm
TAK
isn't adding elevation to building height kinda silly? (kinda, as in, absolutely)If not, the "tallest" buildings are all of the buildings in Colorado (lowest elevation is 3,350 at the Arkansas river)... or maybe a few tents on the side of Mt. McKinley, et al.I've heard a couple of silly arguments that Wells Fargo is actually in a spot that is more than 10' above the elevation of Chase, making Wells Fargo the highest point in DT, or something silly like that. could be true, i guess, but still silly. marc
^^^ Exactly. Well said. If that is the case, the temple of the Dahli Llama in Tibet is the "tallest" structure in the world. Ridiculous.
