  1. Deleted this member. Also banned his e-mail address, and user name and similar ones. Also, he was coming from a computer in the Philippines, so I banned the entire ISP. I should probably ban the entire country. I know other web sites ban all users from Russia, Romania, and a number of Asian countries. I wonder if that would help here, too.
  2. http://newyorkrealestate.citybizlist.com/yourcitybiznews/detail.aspx?id=95828 guessing something near the proposed intermodal transist station (or whatever its called).
  3. Just read in the chronicle- http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/m...politan/3003806 that the county may start planning the extension of the Grand Parway loop to run from Katy, I-10 west, north all the way to 59 east in Kingwood I guess. Does anyone have any details on what the plans for this are in terms of what communities it will pass through(Tomball Woodlands?). Not sure how much traffic this will ease in existing roads but it may be an investment in future development.
  4. The Texas Department of Transportation has awarded a design-build contract to Grand Parkway Infrastructure for construction of Grand Parkway segments H, I-1 and I-2, according to a March 28 statement from TxDOT. Construction of the tollway is slated to begin in early 2018, with lanes opening to traffic in 2022. “Development of the Grand Parkway is an important priority for the Houston area and the state of Texas,” TxDOT Houston District Engineer Quincy Allen said in a statement. “Constructing this outer loop system provides motorists more direct travel options for the movement of goods, people and services to, through and around […] The post TxDOT: Grand Parkway segments H, I-1 and I-2 to break ground in early 2018 appeared first on Community Impact Newspaper. 5. METRO is increasing the number of spaces at the Grand Parkway P&R starting next Monday Oct. 26th. Capacity to radically increase again by next fall with a 1,650 space garage. http://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/TXMETRO/bulletins/1205601
  6. I try to monitor www.grandparkway99.com for updates on segment openings, etc. but it appears as though the person doing the updates has been beamed back to their mother ship - no updates since before Thanksgiving. Any idea where to get better info?
  7. Two KIMCO retail developments stand to generate 800k square feet of retail space along Kuykendahl and the recently opened Grand Parkway in Spring. The Grand Parkway Marketplace will be north of Spring Stuebner with frontage along the Grand Parkway and Kuykendahl. Spring Crossings will be south of Spring Stuebner with frontage along Kuykendahl. Both tracts will also have Northcrest Drive access. http://marketing.kimcorealty.com/File/MarketingBrochure/webapps/generate_marketing_brochure.asp?ref=15256&do=|3| http://marketing.kimcorealty.com/File/MarketingBrochure/webapps/generate_marketing_brochure.asp?ref=15796&do=|3| Seems possible that the anchor tenant of Grand Parkway Marketplace may be already decided given the specific square footage of 126,174 sq ft. HEB perhaps??? I believe they were the ones who filed the plat for the parcel south of Spring Stuebner not too long ago. Anyone have more info?
  8. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nb/cyf...ws/4399953.html ...future focal point of Bridgeland will be its 1,000-acre Town Center on both sides of Grand Parkway. The center will feature retail, multiple-family homes, space for a college satellite, medical facilities and offices. The center's construction time frame will depend on the completion of Grand Parkway, but Houghton said it probably would begin between 2013 and 2015. This area is exploding. It already has a greater population than the greater Woodlands area, and now they're going to stick a Woodlands-sized community in, with all of the other new communities planned/underway? I hope they get to work on 290 soon.
  9. This is in the works. Makes sense with Walmart here and Costco going in up the street.

  15. Drove by this development this morning and noticed the "official" signs are up for Best Buy, Ross, Famous Footwear, Pets-Mart, and others. I am excited about the Best Buy! This is located on the SW Corner of Westpark and Grand Parkway (99) where the Wal-Mart and Kohls recently opened.
  16. Does anyone have any new information regarding this new store. From the looks of it, I can't see how this is suppose to be the largest Kroger in Texas but I am definitely glad that I have another store that is closer to my home. It also looks like the Pizza place is close to opening. www.Read-King.com Waterside Marketplace
  17. This is pretty impressive and I'm glad they are proactive in getting information out to the area. http://www.grandparkway99.com/
  18. Not a for sure thing but would be SUPER COOL in my opinion. Per Hou.com: Whole Foods is in negotiations to put a 30,000 square-foot store at the corner of Grand Parkway and Fry Road, sources say.
  19. There's not a lot of new information here, but the announcement of a "new website in May to keep the community informed" is a good sign. Here's a few other tidbits: "Plans call for the roadway to run under 2920, so it won’t interfere with the Hooks Airport entrance, said Gornet." "The major concerns will (be) major cross streets such as Kuykendahl. Hildebrandt would be the only possible long term road closure. Hildebrandt is a key road for the district, he said. We would need to work on duration and timing for that if we decide we need a long-term closure.” “We’re looking to start construction in the next 2-3 months,” he said. “Most of the early construction you’ll see will center around U.S. 290, I-45 and Highway 59.” http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/magnolia/news/klein-community-prepares-for-grand-parkway/article_b34df1ec-a4d8-11e2-9cdd-001a4bcf887a.html

  22. The Chronicle has the scoop on a new master-planned community on the Vaughn Tract in Montgomery County -- Think I-45 North Freeway at Grand Parkway. The developer is Toll Brothers, a pretty large national builder. It bills itself as a "luxury" homebuilder, but then they all do.
  23. Highway 99 - Katy Prairie The photos in this album, below, have been taken during my hikes along the new section of Highway 99 (Grand Parkway) which is under construction from Interstate-10, going north to Highway 290. The general theme is the contrast between human construction and the natural beauty of the Katy Prairie. During this spring season, wildflowers were in profusion, and quite beautiful. Come see the prairie beauty now, before it's gone... You can view the album, containing 116 photos, here: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir?uname=JohnRich3rd&target=ALBUM&id=5740989815108729025&authkey=Gv1sRgCP6anLSW2bP6Cg&invite=CN_25JYK&feat=email
  24. I am told this property has sold and will be a shopping center. This is across from where the Popeyes is. Any one know anything
  25. The long anticipated opening of the ramps directly connecting I-10 and Highway 99, the Grand Parkway, are now open. The ramps will be a welcome sight on Monday morning for Katy residents who work in Houston, saving time on inbound and outbound commutes. The ramps connect northbound traffic on the Grand Parkway with eastbound traffic on I-10… View the full article at Covering Katy
