  1. That was a tough decision! I went with "Jerk in the Box" though. It might be just me but did anyone else like the fries that Jerk had BEFORE they changed them to the Steak Fries or whatever it is that they have now? They made the change years ago and I couldn't really eat them after that, I just stick to the curly fries now.
  2. That's good to hear. Judging by the amount of "weirdos" that ride metro each day, buses and light rail, it doesn't surprise me at all at the amount of serious crimes. Sometimes I feel like people go on asking for trouble because of how loud they talk, to people sitting RIGHT next to them and while they are on the phone. It annoys the heck out of me. I could go on and on but I would like to hear what other people have to say first.
  3. Did anyone see the heated exchange in the Rockets/Suns game last night? Wonder who will be suspended and for how long...
  4. There are still boards up on the Williams/Transco Tower as well. I notice them every time I drive by.
  5. That was definitely shocking to come across. I did a double take when I read it.
  6. Did anyone see when Yao and Howard bumped each other and Artest came in to defend Yao? What did you guys think about that? It was pretty funny to me but at the same time you could obviously tell that Artest is trying to earn Yao's respect. Artest sure has looked dominant in the first two games though. Just think of when/if T-Mac gets healthier because he has shot a horrid 30% percent in the last two games....He is KILLING my fantasy team!
  7. This will be a very interesting season. I have to get tickets!
  8. It's great working over here. It seems as if there is a new project going on every day I come to work. The Methodist Outpatient facility is going up quickly!

    Hello

Welcome! Nice to see a new face around here.
  10. These are great shots! I have never been to Chicago but I know that I will go a some point pretty soon. I am pretty sure that I won't be able to stop staring at the skyline. I just thought about something. I read an article a while back that was saying how Chicago is called the "Windy City" but it was saying that the wind actually isn't all that bad. It can get bad but it isn't as bad as other places. Then the article brought up about 5-10 other cities that the wind was much worse in. Pretty interesting. Editor, since you seem to know Chicago pretty well, would you agree?
  11. Haha! I always tell my wife that I like Skelley better because he did his commercial with the skyline in the background.
  12. I visited Pittsburgh when I was really young and don't really remember much about it. I am really intrigued by the area though because of the low home prices but my wife is really turned off by the cold weather.
  13. I can't even begin to describe how nice Tokyo's skyline is to me. Every time I see it, I'm in awe.
  14. GREAT pics! I have always liked Toronto and have often wondered what it would be like to live there. That would be crazy if they ended up getting the Buffalo Bills in the near future.
  15. Vince, I am pretty sure the entire area does. That's what Tim is trying to say. City Park is far worse than Skyview Forest as far as flooding goes in my opinion because of the narrow streets, like Tim said, but My wife and I looked at a foreclosure in Skyview Forest earlier in the year when it was pouring over in the area and Skyview Forest's drainage system seemed to get backed up pretty quickly. I don't know if you remember but it was the same day the funnel cloud was spotted in Pearland. To live in Houston, you typically take that kind of risk with any place.
  16. The City Park neighborhood is decent...KHOV is an "interesting" builder to say the least. We looked into their homes as well and my wife couldn't stand the white fences that they put up throughout the neighborhood. There are a couple of other builders in that City Park area though such as Lennar, Gehan and Legend Homes. City Park Houston As far as the crime, I can show you where you can look up the statistics but I personally don't know how good or bad it is. Crime Stats for 77047 I work in the Med Center and I was excited about the possibility of a relatively easy commute so I think they would definitely appreciate it. One downside to 288 besides traffic would be that the highway floods very easily because of the way it was designed. If you can think of anything else, let me know!
  17. Has anyone had the Prince's Hamburgers in the tunnels in downtown? I did earlier in the year and it was very good. That was my first and only time eating at a Prince's.
