rps324
This one came up across the street and down a couple from me. I'm not shy about trying to lobby for new neighbors. Unfortunately for me, they listed with a friend. The outside is kind of plain, but it has some interesting character inside. Of course you have to like wood. Lots & lots of wood. One wall of the living room, the den, the kitchen, the study & the wainscoating in the dining and entry are all mahogany I think. Plus it has hardwood floors. Its very original. The lady that custom built it originally left her "scrapbook" inside with every tile color chart, appliance & wood selection, clippings, etc. That scrapbook is a great little archive of mid-century finish options. It also has one of those permanent metal roofs on it and copper gutters. For someone who likes the 50's sort of thing and needs something close in reasonable. It doesn't seem like a bad deal. They are asking $159,900 & its on a nice size lot. 8219 Glencrest Its on a decent street. The front living room is large with one wall of the paneling, there is also a den in the back There is a study that has the real wood planked paneling too.
