It is a Fry's electronic's Pentium 4 - 3.01Ghz, 768 MB DDR SDRAM ,80GB hard disk. I went from a Apple IIe to this! So any ideals? editor Posted September 11, 2006 Share Posted September 11, 2006 It depends on how it's designed. Is this a device for measuring and tracking the weather in your backyard? If so, then probably not. Most of the electronics is usually in the device and your computer just reads the data stream from the devices. It's not very taxing at all. I know companies who are using old 286 DOS boxes for this. Heck, even a Commodore 64 was able to handle it back in the day. If you're talking about some piece of software that goes on your computer that reads weather information from other places over the internet, then that's a different story.
