looking_in_nw
I've been looking at the Patio homes in the "new" section of Coles Crossing. These are the small Weekley homes with the zero based lots. They seem really nice compared with other homes that size, nice features and such, especially compared to other developments in the same price range. I just don't know if these homes will hold their value very well given the lot sizes and the fact that they are on the east side of Telge, sort of separate from the rest of Coles Crossing.Does anyone have any ideas or experience on patio homes, and whether these would be hard to sell later? mrfootball
I think patio homes generally appeal to the 55 and up market looking to downsize out of larger homes they raised their children in. The new ones in Cole's Crossing are right next to Longwood which itself is a very nice neighborhood with a great golf course, so there will always be a good market for retirees who may wish to live close to their own children's families and enjoy nice recreational amenities like the parks, ponds, playgrounds and golf course. A major Park is being developed on the site of the old Tennwood golf course at Spring Cypress and Telge. This will serve as a Nature preserve and education center and be one of the anchor parks along the planned Cypress Creek Greenway. Along with all of the other retail development mentioned on this forum, there's also several new hospitals being built down the street on 290. Cole's Crossing lies in the Cy-Woods zone, the schools are great. Hope that helps. Edited August 30, 2006 by mrfootball
