old_Sharpstown Posted June 16, 2006 Share Posted June 16, 2006 Does anyone recall or have pictures of the old Shipley's Restraurant (not donuts) on West Gray at the corner of Dunlavy BEFORE the shopping center that is there now was built in the late 80's. I recall it had lots of neon outside and was a real diner atmosphere. It was also very small. It felt like it was from the 50's. I recall eating there late at night (I think it may have been open 24 hours a day) and there was a surly waitress we called "Large Marge" as she looked like the one from the Pee Wee Herman movie.
