Not sure if this has been posted before.

But here is a fun site to find out the demographics in your area

And also the renting vs owning numbers.

And even the ages of housing in your area.

The actual information is available everywhere and from 2000 data, but mashing it with google maps makes it more fun and user friendly.

Interesting that Cypress, TX has a higher median income than Laguna Beach, CA (and those are the old numbers).

Blows my mind how much more Californians pay for Real Estate, yet according to the statistics the avg incomes aren't that much greater than they are here.

Cars per capita where I grew up: 2.75

Cars per capita where I live now: .6

Go figure.
