Jeebus
New Orleans evacuee Tiffany Clark, now a senior at Taylor High, said she was floored by the difficulty of the math section of the TAKS test."I didn't know nothing on the math test. I think they're more advanced than us," said Clark, who already passed the Louisiana graduation exam.I think that about sums it up. Along with no comprehension of math, they seem to be lacking in the English department as well.I look at it this way: For the first time ever, New Orleans kids will finally get a decent education. New Orleans teachers will finally get a decent paycheck. Edited March 9, 2006 by Jeebus

VicMan
I mentioned the idea of building strong public neighborhood schools on a New Orleans forum:http://www.nola.com/forums/schools/index.ssf?initial=trueI told the forum that they should look at River Oaks/Roberts/Twain/Poe/West U./Condit/Horn/Briargrove as what New Orleans public schools should emulate. H-Town Man
Any way someone with archive access can put the full text of the article on here? Or would that be illegal?
