"Described in a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers public notice released this week as “located north of the existing Harris Reservoir in the city of Angleton,” the reservoir would be 1,929 acres in area and 51,000 acre-feet in volume due to its 30-foot storage depth."

Remember fishing in Harris Reservoir as a teenager.

Wonder if this will help Holiday Lakes from flooding every time some one turns on their windshield wipers.

Interesting - the picture looks like the same size roughly as Harris Reservoir - but the text says it will have twice the water as Harris and Brazoria Reservoir combined.   Guess it will be a lot deeper.

"Representatives from Dow and Brazosport Water Authority sought support from the Rosenberg City Council to join them in a reservoir expansion project, ensuring that the city and its surrounding communities won’t face water shortages.

Tim Finley, Global Water Technology Leader for Dow, introduced the Harris Reservoir Expansion Project, intending to increase the water supply for municipal potable water in the BWA service area and industrial users in Southern Brazoria County."
