editor
More and more I find RSS feeds a more efficient way to get the latest information from my favorite web sites. So I thought I'd list a couple of the feeds I hit on a daily basis in case anyone else has similar interests. If you have Safari, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, or Netscape you already have RSS feed reading built-in to your browser. Internet Explorer will have it in the next version, due out by Christmas. If you'd rather go to the full web site, instead of the feed just type in the domain name from the link.MAKE: Blog - For people who like to hack, modify, invent, and otherwise play with technologyPopGadget - Female-focused gadgetsPSP Hacks - News about the PSP homebrew sceneAkihabara News - The latest gadgets. Purports to represent what's happening in Tokyo's Akihabara Electric Town neighborhood, but I don't believe them. I've been there and it's not what they claim. But the information is still good. travelguy_73
I use web-based Bloglines to keep up with my favorite sites. It does all the work for me, and allows me to easily share feeds with friends who use the site as well...much more efficient than hitting each sight!A few of my favorties:Slickdeals.net (to keep up with fast-expiring deals in online shopping)Church of the Customer (customer evangelism)Queerty & Towelroad (gay stuff)Jalopnik (auto blog)Gizmodo (gadget blog)LifehackerABCNews:Travel
editor
I've heard a lot of people like Gizmodo, but I find they're just an aggregator of other sites news, and don't seem to do much reporting on their own.Lifehacker I've heard good things about, but never got around to checking them out. There isn't a lot of unique news there, but I like their witty take on it. Engadget is better for actual news, but I can't keep up with their volume of posts.I'm currently addicted to podcasts more than blogs, because they keep me entertained when I travel as I drift in and out of consciousness inflight.
