"A decade after losing millions of dollars from the collapse of Comcast SportsNet Houston, the Astros and Rockets are negotiating to get back into the regional sports network business as owners of AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

If negotiations proceed as planned, according to sources with knowledge of the talks, the teams will create a new business entity that will assume ownership of the network from Warner Bros. Discovery.

While negotiations continue, Astros and Rockets games will still air on AT&T SportsNet Southwest, which has carried both teams since 2014."

It's crazy how the tables have turned with this now it's back in the Astros and Rockets hands. I hope they actually put other programming on the network besides the games like how it was with CSN Houston.

"The Houston Astros and AT&T Sportsnet will televise 15 games in Spanish this season, the Astros announced May 11. Although this is the first time the Astros will televise games in Spanish, the team already has a Spanish radio broadcast.

The first Spanish-language broadcast will take place May 21 when the Astros take on the Oakland Aā€™s at Minute Maid Park. All of the Astros' remaining Sunday home games will have a Spanish broadcast, as well each of the team's home games during Hispanic Heritage Month in September. The Spanish broadcasts will be televised on AT&T SportsNetā€™s alternate channel. "
