This thread was originally created March 29, 2016. I'm reposting / reupping this because this post and other content from me are no longer available on the forum due to a mod removing my account and its content in "error"  (supposedly).  An archive link  of the thread before its deletion is here.

The 4,440 SF property at 1921 Oxford Street is off the market (archived link) and has been sold to 1921 Oxford Street Holdings. It's the warehouse occupied by Texas Hydrostatic Inc, located off of E 20th Street behind the Crown Heights Center (20th St Discount Cleaners) and across from Jenni's Noodle House.

According to Harris County property records, the deed of trust was signed last week. Harris County Appraisal District doesn't show the change of ownership yet. 1921 Oxford Street Holdings LLC is an entity belonging to Blini Hoxha, the guy who owns Pub Fiction, Celtic Garden now going by Irish Cowboy, 3rd Floor, Shot Bar, Crisp, Boots 'n Shoots, The Moonshiners Southern Table & Bar and Beer Market Co. He also leases the ground floor of the Sweeney, Coombs, Fredericks Building at 301 Main and the McCory Building on Main (The Moonshiners and Conservatory). The entity was registered by TABC attorneys Burleson & Craig, P.L.L.C., who deals with all Hoxha's bars. Their involvement points to signs that this may be a bar or restaurant being developed by Hoxha and his Salt n Pepper Restaurant Group.

From Loopnet:

The building is a ground level, wood framed steel building with drive through overhead doors, served by a 15 foot alley access to 20th Street. Building is supported by a Sturdy Wood Frame with heavy, treated wooden columns and has steel skin which is in very good and serviceable condition.

Here are pictures from the inside and land survey from Loopnet:

A warehouse is possible but I'm leaning towards a bar or restaurant. From what I've observed, Hoxha only uses TABC attorneys Burleson & Craig to file for new entities when there's a bar or restaurant involved.

I am certainly leaning with you, it just seems a little too restricted for their taste (unless they workout a parking deal with Crown Heights, or just buy 20th Street Cleaners and get the parking and square footage that way).  we'll see soon enough.  thanks for posting.

Isn't that also in the dry part of the Heights?  Sure, there's the private club workaround, but still...

I questioned the parking too if this space is going to be converted to a bar or restaurant. It'll be interesting to see what this will be. Whenever I pass it up, I've thought to myself this would be a good spot for an icehouse but I always have beer on the mind. :D

I think so but don't hold me to that answer. There's always a private club workaround somehow. Eight Row Flint is in the dry part and they've worked it out.

1921 Oxford is just inside the dry area. Here's a handy Google map demarcating the boundaries: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=z_dzq4oRpK-A.k71RuJ8JL84k&hl=en_US

And here's the original map (less clear): http://www.houstonheights.org/newsletter/2009-06/dryareamap.pdf
