editor Posted October 31, 2005 Share Posted October 31, 2005 By now pretty much everyone on the internet has a Gmail account. You can't just sign up for one, you have to be invited. Since I have no family and virtually no friends, I was never invited before.Now you don't have to be invited. Google has added a feature that will allow you to sign up as long as you have a cell phone that receives text messages.From the Gmail.com front page there's a link to enter your mobile number and they send you a text message with an activation code.It worked for me.
