IWECO Welding Supply At 8350 Mosley Rd.

I lived near Hobby Airport when I was growing up in the early to mid 1970s. Lots of trips all over Houston when I was young, and very nostalgic parents, means I remember much of the landscape of the area.

I do, however, have a memory that I can't seem to confirm. In the Airport Blvd / College Avenue / Hobby Airport area, there was a welding supply place named IWECO. It still exists today. I seem to recall IWECO had an animated sign in the early to mid 1970s that had a cartoonish welder who lit up his cutting torch. I recall it being visible from I-45 in the south direction. Anyone recall this? This sign is not to be confused with the very memorable Markle Steel sign that was closer to downtown and has been discussed here several times.

Any clues?
