IronTiger Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 I was able to go to 1820 Bar and Joystix last weekend, where I learned a few things about downtown (and Midtown) Houston, namely how huge Minute Maid Park is, the fact that downtown lights up nicely, the fact that some of the rooms of the former Days Inn/Holiday Inn are WAY too close to the freeway for comfort, and the Fiesta sign at Midtown sparkles (that's neat!) Obviously, there were other buildings surrounding the bar, but they had been demolished for years, and I'm curious to know the history of the building as well.
