texan41
I don't know why people make such a big deal about SA having some of the most beautiful buildings in Texas if when you look at their downtown closely it is a very poor downtown. There isn't even that many buildings to begin with... I lived there and I was surprised at how the residents of the city really believe that they live in a world class city just because they know that tourists from around the world congregate on the riverwalk. The first day I was on a boat on the riverwalk the tour guide told the boat full of tourists that San Antonio's economy is bigger than Dallas' and that they were closely behind Houston in size. Either way, believe it or not I enjoyed living there even though I got out as fast as I could and I am glad that they are getting a new tower designed by Pelli. htownbro
Alot of downtown development in SA will change their skyline even though there is no supertall towers which probably wouldn't work in SA. https://www.expressnews.com/real-estate/article/The-latest-on-San-Antonio-s-biggest-12259446.php#photo-14301513 Edited April 18, 2018 by htownbro typo
ArchFan
I really like some of the early 20th century highrises in SA. The newer ones, not so much. So, I don't mind that SA doesn't have so many new ones, at least so far.
