pamelarmccoy
Does anyone remember the bar that used to be in the Sawyer Building at 506 Main St.? It was called the Golden Stein in the 80's and I used to be the daytime bartender there. Edit: The building was originally constructed for Barringer-Norton Company in the late 1880s. In 1928, James Ruskin Bailey did a facade renovation.
editor
There's a bunch of construction workers at this bar this morning. Sign says it's going to be "Jollie."

It's Jolie coming soon to 506 Main St. Also, it's more of a club than a bar. https://www.instagram.com/joliehtx_

Earlydays
That must be the Norton that started the Norton Ditto Men's Store in 1908. I used to shop at their store on Main St. in the 1960's and early 1970's.
