IronTiger
I posted this on my Facebook but wanted to see if you know what I'm talking about. In 2009 I ate at a Mexican restaurant, and I think it was on Westheimer because we tried Chuy's (closer to Montrose) and upon seeing the line, headed west. There was a Randall's Flagship near the restaurant, and they also had a cardboard cut out of Barack Obama in a Superman costume. Ring any bells? LarryDierker
There was once a Mexican restaurant called Tortuga next to the Randalls on Westheimer and Gessner. Cant recall what year it closed. http://goo.gl/maps/6VK7H
IronTiger
I don't think we went that far, and the Randalls I remember had block letters. This makes me wonder if we even stayed on Westheimer.
acamarillo
are you sure about heading west? If you went east that would take you towards café adobe and the randalls at shepherd/westheimer, and there are several other Mexican options that way. West takes you to highland village and the galleria. Lots of good restaurants but not so much Mexican til past the galleria.
IronTiger
It wasn't the Randalls I saw at Westheimer and Shepherd, I know that much. That's the one I saw on my most recent trip. Perhaps it was at Weslayan Plaza, which makes a bit of sense: the strip center with Randalls was a bit spacious in terms of parking.
