Slim Chance
Other than the Coca-Cola buildings, does anyone know if Atlanta-based architect Francis P. Smith (or Pringle & Smith) designed any residences in Houston during the 1920's?
strickn
Interesting question. The recent book on his architecture does not mention any. The 1931 Beaumont bottling plant and a 1928 Houston design are the buildings that it features in Texas. It does mention him designing four homes in Chattanooga, so I don't know whether that volume of export is promising or discouraging for hopes of many Texas commissions. For what it's worth the Guide to Galveston Architecture does not cite a designer for the bottling plant (1937) in Galveston, so you might e-mail Stephen Fox or the author of "Atlanta's Scholar-Architect" and see if Smith could have been involved. Fox keeps a list of imported architecture in the state, if you're interested in contributing!

Will keep looking.
