rsb320
I thought these lectures may be of interest to some."Hello: I have just written a book on historic day trips in and around Houston. It's called Historic Houston: How to See It. One of the chapters discusses Westmoreland. In conjunction with the book's publishing, I'm offering free slide shows at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 600 Pecore in Woodland Heights. Everyone is invited. I'm doing a total of 4 lectures, one on each Thursday in May, at 7 pm. (I wasn't aware of your group; otherwise I would've notified you earlier.) Tomorrow we're doing antebellum Houston through the railroad era; the lecture on 5/19, "Oil and Water", will cover Westmoreland.I have more information on my website, www.historichoustontourism.com , including how to purchase the book. I hope to see some of you at an upcoming lecture."There are lots of Houston photos under the Oil and Water topic here: http://picasaweb.google.com/lucinda.freeman
