Brickfence
If I was to purchase house plans online, do I need to have an local architect adjust the house to fit the lot and stamp the set, or do I just need a designer to tweak the plans and have a engineer stamp the set? I own a lot and am considering building a load bearing masonry home on it. I currently have three estimates from local architects to design everything, but am looking to save costs (of course). I thought that by buying plans online and getting a designer to tweak them might accomplish some savings, but what do you guys think?
ijaxon
double edge sword if you ask me. we deal with both designers and architects, the prices are pretty close, sometimes the designers are even higher. go figure
