There is classic railroad hotel in Kingsland, TX that has been restored inside and out called The Antlers. http://www.theantlers.com/We have been going there for nearly 10 years now during spring and summer breaks.We love the ambience: two-story wood frame hotel, open verandas, period decor, historical connection to the railroad era of travel, lots of trees, sprawling grouinds, lakeside, and in one of the prettiest parts of Texas.A time machine in some ways.
