WillowBend56 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 (edited) Turns out that Ontario-born Fr. Charles Coughlin the infamous "Radio Priest" of the Depression era taught at St. Basil Colllege in Waco in the early 1900s. He was associated with the Basilian Fathers who staffed the college. This is the same religious order which staffed St. Thomas College in Houston---now St. Thomas High School, I believe. [St. Thomas University in Houston started after WW2.] Coughlin left the Basilians before the 1920s and became a diocesan priest in the Diocese of Detroit. I wonder why he left?
