greystone08(returns) Posted April 16, 2005 Share Posted April 16, 2005 Does anyone know why 7 eleven and Albertsons left Houston?I was just visiting Dallas and noticed that Albertsons grocery stores and 7 Elevens still exist up there. I am aware 7 Eleven's headquarters are still up there but anyone have any ideas as to why these two stores chose to remain in Dallas and Austin but not Texas's largest city? Albertson's left because they just weren't making money here. The local grocery market is very competitive and getting more so, and they decided to cut their losses and pull out.
