westguy76
Does anyone know the story on why Pin Oak Rd (south of I-10) was not extended through to Greenbusch Rd.? Looking at Google Earth, you can see the predetermined layout pretty clearly. There is just one tract of land seperating the path of the road right-of-way. This seems to me to be a natural corridor that makes sense and this as well as widening Greenbusch down to where it changes into Westheimer Parkway would relieve some minor traffic delay on these roads. CandW
The resident's of Pin Oak Village fought that year's ago. Given the current situation with congestion at the intersection at katy-flewellen it would not surprise me if the county decided to proceed anyway. cla
Thanks for the info. This will increase mobility and relieve some traffic on other routes. I like it.And the improvements at Katy-Flewellen from Katy-Gaston to Pin Oak as well as the extension of Falcon Landing Blvd to Cinco SW will make travelling that area of Katy nicer as well. CandW
Maybe then the cyclists will have a better chance of survival? LOL.
westguy76
More than likely they will just find a different 2-lane road with no shoulders
