Heightsite
Anyone have any suggestions for acquiring the presidential dollar coins that came out in '07? The banks have Van Buren #8 but no previously released coins. Rather than purchase a dollar coin for way more than face value or a roll of mixed coins from the bank, there seems to little alternatives. Not all machines accept the dollars coins, so they probably don't have many of them, making them easy to find. They might be happy to trade them for paper. Bubba
The tollway has TONS of them.So do the automated payment machines for parking at the Texas Medical Center. I paid my fee with a twenty and you guessed it, an assortment of the dollar coins come jingling out. Ugh.
TexasVines
the post office often hands out the coins no one uses
gto250us
Go to a Post Office and put a $20 in the machine and buy one stamp. The change you get is bound to have a few of the presidential dollars. Of course, it is sort of like a slot machine as to whether you will get all of your change back.
