Expat wife
There used to be a great shop on Westheimer specialising in model/toy trains. Does anybody know what happened to it?
TJones
I believe there is still a shop right there at Fondern. If you are referring to the train/hobby shop in the Westchase area that was next to the old Movie Theater @ Gessner, well, it closed down about 10 yrs. ago. The place on Westhiemer @ Fondern I believe is the same owner. Here ya go.http://houston.citysearch.com/profile/map/...hobby_shop.html Edited November 19, 2008 by TJones
august948
There used to be a great shop on Westheimer specialising in model/toy trains. Does anybody know what happened to it?Unfortunately they went out of business 6 or 7 months ago. Another model train store, called the Houston Roundhouse (used to be the Bellaire Roundhouse) at Main and the South Loop also went out of business around the same time. As far as I know, the only model train stores left inside beltway 8 are Papa Ben's near Rice Village and a small store in Rice Village that I forget the name of. Does anyone know of any others in the area?
