20thStDad
Poor, lazy, and stupid is a bad combination. Yeah, yeah, not all of poor people blah blah blah. But it is poor uneducated people who are committing most of those crimes.
travelguy_73
My sister and her partner moved there this summer to take professor positions. We were, and still are, very wary of them being there due to the crime. From what I have read, no part of town is safe from the random violence that has given NO a bad name. dudemeister
Damn, I knew New Orleans has problems with crime, but I did not expect them to be so high on the list.
VicMan
New Orlean's #3....evacuees flee to Houston....crime increases in Houston...hmmm...something smells fishy. Not really - Much of the evacuee crime was evacuee on evacuee. It would have happened anyway. One of the problems with NO is that its prosecutors office sucked. When the NO criminals found that Houston has a real prosecutors office, many fled to NO. dudemeister
Yeah, I kind of think evacuee's got too much of the blame since the crime rate in Houston was rising before they fled to Houston. This can probably be attributed to many of the Hispanic gangs in the area such as MS-13.
