editor
In another thread one of the HAIFers lamented that he wanted to incorporate HAIF content into his blog. Well, there's a bunch of ways you can do that so I've started this thread to show some of the options. One way is with RSS feeds. HAIF provides a number of RSS feeds that many services like Blogger, Google Reader, My Yahoo, and others allow you incorporate into your page. Here's a partial list with the addresses:HAIF: http://feed.houstonarchitecture.info/HAIFThe Houston Posts: http://feed.houstonarchitecture.info/TheHoustonPostsThe HAIF Houston Calendar: http://feed.houstonarchitecture.info/HAIFCalendar The HAIF Houston Music Calendar: http://feed.houstonarchitecture.info/HAIFH...onMusicCalendarThe HAIF Houston Fine Arts Calendar: http://feed.houstonarchitecture.info/HAIFFineArtsCalendarIf you are using the Safari or current Firefox browser, these RSS feeds are easy to find in the blue RSS button on the right side of your address bar at the top of the page. Older Firefox users should have an orange RSS button on the bottom right of their browser window. And everyone should have an orange RSS button on the bottom left of every HAIF page. I don't recommend using this one, though because its addresses vary slightly from the others and may change over time. I'd get rid of it to prevent confusion, but that's too much like smart.I'm going to put together some graphic widgets that you can also incorporate into your web pages, blogs, or even into your signature on other forums. These are simple graphic blocks that are automagically updated with new content on our side so you don't have to do anything, they don't cost you any bandwidth, and are easy to use. And since they're standard GIF files they'll work pretty much anywhere.
editor
I found an old widget that I made a couple of years ago, but I don't think I ever publicized it: The size is 400x40 -- good for signatures and things like that. Here's HTML code you can use on pretty much any web page: <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/HAIF/~6/1"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/HAIF.1.gif" alt="Houston Architecture Info Forum" style="border:0"></a>
editor
Here's a nice small one that would work in a sidebar.
