Ptarmigan
Here are some photos of ptarmigans. For anyone who does not know what they are, they are a type of Arctic grouse that lives in the tundra year around. There are three species of ptarmigans, willow, rock, and white-tailed. White-tailed live south of Canada and as far south as New Mexico.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ptarmiganhttp://www.gct.org.uk/gsg/grousesp/WILLOW.HTM<A href="http://www.gct.org.uk/gsg/grousesp/ROCK.HTM"'>http://www.gct.org.uk/gsg/grousesp/ROCK.HTM" target="_blank">http://www.gct.org.uk/gsg/grousesp/ROCK.HTMhttp://www.gct.org.uk/gsg/grousesp/WHITE.HTMPtarmigan Photoshttp://www.alaskaphotographics.com/cgi-bin...os+alaska+birdshttp://search.pbase.com/search?q=ptarmigan...Photos&c=sphttp://flickr.com/search/?q=ptarmiganhttp://flickr.com/photos/tags/ptarmigan/clusters/ Edited June 1, 2008 by Ptarmigan
