westguy
What about the December 2004 tsunami? Its going to be bigger. The Junta stopped the death count at 22,000, but it is probably at least 100,000. The Junta is allowing only ONE cargo plane in on Monday while millions of their people stand around corpses without food or water. The 1970 cyclone in East Pakistan killed more than twice the official toll (around 500,000) because of disease and starvation. The delays are worse this time. westguy
1.5 million people have no food or shelter. And the government of Myanmar is still blocking aid from getting to them. Worse, they're using some of the remaining free-standing structures as polling places for their bogus referendum. The disaster is on course for growing much much worse. TJones
Well, it will most likely be 200,000 easy because Myanmar Govt. is now starving their people and not providing aid to them. It is simple, they are trying to thin their herd over there. Overpopulation in a very very weak economy, they also know that if they let the U.N. and U.S. in there will be calls for reforms in their Govt. This is the worst possible scenario for that Military Dictatorship.
