editor Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Gene Hafele to Oversee National Weather Service Houston/Galveston Forecast Office Veteran meteorologist Gene Hafele has been appointed meteorologist-in-charge of the National Weather Service forecast office serving the Houston/Galveston area. Hafele replaces Bill Read, the new director of the National Hurricane Center in Miami. The Houston/Galveston office is one of 122 Weather Forecast Offices in the nation and one of 32 in the National Weather Service Southern Region.
