pineda Posted February 24, 2005 Share Posted February 24, 2005 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Subject: Upcoming Transportation Public Meetings----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Public Meetings on the Transportation Conformity Determination, the Draft 2025 Regional Transportation Plan and the Draft 2006-2008 Transportation Improvement Program The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is hosting a series of public meetings on the Transportation Conformity Determination, the Draft 2025 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and the Draft 2006-2008 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The 2025 RTP provides a framework for identifying transportation priorities and major transportation challenges, such as regional mobility, air quality and safety. The conformity analysis was conducted by H-GAC to ensure that projects within the 2025 RTP meet our region's air quality goals. The TIP is a comprehensive listing of transportation projects approved for funding and implementation within a three-year period. The public is encouraged to attend one of these important meeting and provide comments to H-GAC on the Transportation Conformity Determination, the Draft 2025 RTP and the Draft 2006-2008 TIP. Comments must be received by H-GAC no later than 5 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2005.
