LarryDallas Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I have 4 20 ft trees in the front yard so the grass gets no direct sunlight. I would say only about 30% of the lawn is still alive. The rest is either covered in small weeds that look like grass or has bad bare spots. I want to hire someone to fix it and maintian it until a good root system is built up and I can just maintain it on my own. I have read horror stories about national chain lawn care firms like this:http://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/trugreen.htmlWhat I want is someone Houston based, reputable, will not make me sign a contract for 6 months or a year, I meet or deal over the phone with the owners (NOT sales reps), etc..ABC pest pool and lawn comes to mind but they are a big company and it worries me.
