luciaphile
Except for one-quarter German stock, my people are the usual Anglo/Scots-Irish come west from the Appalachians (but not Hill People - that's an important distinction - though some settled in the foothills of the Ozarks they were never Hill People!). A couple strands were in the Kaufman County area well before the War Between the States. Probably no Daughters of the Republic of Texas for me, but one great-great-great-grandmother was born in Henderson County in 1829; my grandmother was born inside the Texas line on the Matador Ranch, my father was born in Houston as was I, and I've never spent so much as a month at one time out of Texas. So I'll not be taking that back, The Niche. As for the structure in Austin, I think that Austin bungled the verbiage of the decision.Perhaps the verbiage should have been: "The building is ungood."
