Weimar, Texas Photos

Photos from Weimar, Texas, about 80 miles West of Houston off of I-10.

The whole time I was taking pictures in this little town, people were staring at me and one lady walked out of her shop and asked what the hell I was doing. So I took my pics quickly and got the hell out of Dodge.

Great photos! I can't believe that lady asked what the hell you were doing. That doesn't bode well for tourism, does it?

Last time I was in Weimar, I ate lunch at a little place called "The Hill" a mile north of town. A Weimar tourist pamphlet that I picked up at a gas station described it as "stepping back in time". The description was accurate. Worth checking out.

The same pamphlet recommended driving west to the little town of Dubina, so I did that too. (Lots of time on my hands, I guess) There's nothing left there now but a church and an historical marker, but it was worth the trip. Just down the road from the church is one of those ancient narrow country bridges (complete with warning signs) that you don't see much of anymore.

Exploring the country is fun isn't it. More fun if you have someone to share it with I guess, but taking photos and sharing them online is a great idea too! Thanks.
