VelvetJ
This is a bit off of subject but I have always wanted Houston to have a indoor type of a Farmers Market, and I think one of those old department store spaces in Sharpstown Mall would be a great location for it. Considering it's location and the diverse demographic in cultures and incomes that are within say a 7-10 mile radius I think it could work. The parking is already there plus it is in a great location with regard to access. A international farmers market on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning would be great for the city. When I lived in St. Louis, the Soulard Market was one of my favorite things about the city. The different smells of things cooking was reason enough to go. It's a great place with a great atmosphere. So is the West Side Market in Cleveland.
