editor Posted August 4, 2007 Share Posted August 4, 2007 After months of railing against the possibility, the good folks of HAIF finally have no choice but to accept the reality: The Art Moderne 1930's River Oaks Shopping Center is about to be bulldozed. Outrage yielded to frustration and now it's just fatigue. In the words of Native Montrosian, "Yes, the River Oaks Center is Weingarten Realty's property. They can tear everything down and line West Gray on both sides with a faux Miami stucco-plopped strip mall open 24/7. They can build condos that try to reach God like the Tower of Babel because in this issue, they essentially are God. I realize it. I give up."
